Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable

Class 2 HIAB Driver

to join our transport team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and collecting cable drums and other equipment from building sites across the UK. The role involves nights out, preferably Monday to Thursday, with occasional Friday nights. No weekend work is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a Class 2 (18T flatbed) vehicle fitted with a HIAB crane to load, unload, and transport cable drums and other equipment safely and efficiently Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed on time and to the required standard Plan routes effectively and demonstrate strong knowledge of the UK road network to ensure timely and efficient deliveries Nationwide Carry out pre- and post-vehicle/crane checks in line with company procedures and report any defects Maintain accurate records using a digital tachograph and ensure compliance with all driving regulations Adhere to health and safety standards on-site and while driving Communicate effectively with site managers and other team members to ensure smooth operations

Requirements:

Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence Valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) Digital Tachograph Card Experience operating a HIAB crane (preferably with relevant certification) Previous experience in delivering to construction or building sites is an advantage Strong understanding of transport regulations and health and safety guidelines Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Previous employment references required Knowledge of the UK road network - Nationwide
