Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely across designated routes and will unload using a lorry mounted crane. Hours are 42.5 per week 06.30 to 16.00 Monday to Friday. 1hr unpaid lunch break. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. After probationary period, there is a Profit share, Pension, and private health care.

Responsibilities

Safely operate vehicle to transport goods to various locations in a timely manner Ensure all cargo is secured correctly before transit and during delivery Offload at delivery location using lorry mounted crane or forklifted off on site by forklift and forklift driver provided. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery schedules and minimise delays Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logbooks Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour when interacting with clients and colleagues Adhere strictly to road safety laws, company policies, and health & safety regulations

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, ideally with experience of operating a lorry mounted crane, although not essential as training will be given. Strong driving skills with a clean driving record Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and punctuality Good organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and vehicle maintenance records Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks when required
