Based in Southampton.

Working 37.5 to 40-Hours Per Week, Monday to Friday.

Competitive Hourly Pay Rate (Depending on Experience) 15 to 22 Per Hour.

Job Overview

:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 2 Truck Driver to join our team on a temporary to permanent (or) permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving as well as HIAB Driving and Training.

You will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.

Delivering to commercial clients across the South Coast, up to Bristol, routes and drop numbers may vary depending on each client's specific order being delivered.

Responsibilities

:

Operate Class 2 lorries to transport goods to designated locations. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing it appropriately for transit using HIAB. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while on the road. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.

Qualifications:

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a Class 2 delivery driver. Proven experience and training with a HIAB. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
