Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled deadlines. Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly during transit. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon receipt. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or any unforeseen issues. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly. Adhere to health and safety standards at all times during deliveries.

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving qualifications. Valid driver's licence suitable for the vehicle type, such as a Category C licence or equivalent. Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling goods or packages. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members. Good organisational skills for route planning and time management. A clean driving record with the ability to pass relevant background checks and road safety assessments.
