Overview

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Class 2 (Category C) Multi-Drop Driver to join our team, operating a 26-tonne rigid vehicle for palletised freight collections and deliveries. You will be responsible for safely transporting goods to and from our customers across the Northamptonshire area, ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed efficiently, on time, and to a high standard of customer service.

Key responsibilities

Carry out multi-drop deliveries and collections of palletised freight using a 26-tonne vehicle. Load and unload pallets safely, often using a tail lift and pump truck. Complete all delivery and collection paperwork accurately and legibly, including use of electronic POD systems. Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or issues in line with company policy. Adhere strictly to driver hours regulations, Working Time Directive, and company health & safety policies. Maintain professional communication with customers and the transport office at all times. Represent the company positively through courteous driving and excellent customer service.

Requirements

Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence Up-to-date CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card Minimum 2 years of Class 2 driving experience, preferably in multi-drop or palletised delivery work Knowledge of UK road networks and driver regulations Physically fit - role involves manual handling and use of pump trucks Strong communication skills and a professional attitude Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused

Desirable

Previous experience working within a pallet network environment Experience using handheld delivery scanners or EPOD systems

Pay: 37,500.00-39,000.00 per year
