Job Description

This role is 5 nights for week 1 (40 hours) and 4 nights for week 2 (32 hours). 9 over 10 days in a 2 week period.

The full time salary is 28,455.79

Annual Leave 25.5, including bank holidays

Sunday to Thursday, apx start time 19:00

The Role

Our LGV Drivers do more than a 'driving job'. It's about ensuring our customers get the best impression of our organisation. You are the 'face' of our business, not just our delivery driver. It's all about making a good impression with your appearance, manner and the look of your vehicle. Ensuring goods are delivered in a first-class condition, completing all necessary paperwork and above all, leaving everyone you meet with a really positive impression of you and our business.

Your Key Responsibilities

Check the loading of the vehicle so that products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chances of damage

Complete vehicle daily checks in accordance with legal requirements

Ensure that the load is correct against the customers' orders

Ensure that on arrival the delivery is safe to make and respect customers' property and overnight delivery/security processes

Provide excellent customer service

Handle customer issues on delivery effectively and contact Transport if required

Carry out multi-drop deliveries in a timely and safe manner

Drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law

Drive within the tachograph law and driver hours limits

Look after the vehicle, including cab cleanliness, and ensure that it is not subjected to unnecessary damage

Ensure that the vehicle is refuelled upon return to site

Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the company's accident reporting procedure

Complete vehicle daily checks

Attend essential training in order to carry out the driver role

To provide support in the Yard and Warehouse as required

Adhere to all company policies and procedures, to include the Company Standards of Performance and Health and Safety Policy.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Person Specification

Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points on your license

High levels of Health and Safety standards

Numerate and literate

A valid

Class 2

(Category C) licence

A valid

CPC Card

and

Digi Tachograph

card

Previous experience completing multi-drop deliveries

Excellent verbal communication

Ability to communicate effectively with Customers and Co-Workers

Diligent attention to detail

Ability to work under pressure

Flexibility

Willing to work with the team, executing tasks, when the business requires.

Attributes

Proven work experience as a LGV Driver

Have attained a full understanding of tachograph legislation
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)

Valid truck driving licence

Excellent communicator

Self-starter and highly motivated with high energy levels

Strong attention to detail and compliance.

Be Eligible to work in the UK

Full Valid UK Cat C Drivers Licence

Valid Drivers CPC and Digi Tacho Cards are a must also
