to join our established waste management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery, collection, and exchange of skips at domestic and commercial sites. This role requires a high standard of professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to health and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering, collecting, and exchanging skips in a timely and professional manner
Operating skip vehicles safely in accordance with company and legal requirements
Ensuring all skips are loaded, secured, and transported correctly
Maintaining accurate records and completing any required paperwork or digital logs
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects promptly
Adhering to site rules, health and safety regulations, and company procedures
Providing excellent customer service when interacting with clients and site personnel
Essential Requirements
Full UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
Valid Driver CPC qualification
Previous experience operating skip lorries (preferred but not essential)
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
Strong awareness of health and safety practices
Desirable Attributes
Experience within the waste management or recycling sector
Local area knowledge
Flexibility to work overtime when required
While not essential, experience operating heavy machinery (e.g., excavators, material handler or other plant equipment) would be a valuable asset.
