Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 8-Wheel tipper driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods across various routes. This role requires excellent driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to manage time effectively to ensure timely deliveries.

Duties

Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload goods, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, making sure all tickets are signed correctly. Communicate effectively with team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Perform basic mechanical maintenance on the vehicle as needed, demonstrating a solid understanding of mechanical principles. Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety practices and operational protocols.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving is essential, with a valid HGV licence. Strong mechanical knowledge is preferred to assist with basic maintenance tasks on the lorry. Previous experience in logistics or transportation is advantageous but not mandatory. A commitment to maintaining high safety standards while on the road is crucial for this role.
