Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery, ensuring the safe and timely transport of goods. This role requires excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of vehicle mechanics to maintain the lorry in optimal condition.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations while maintaining accurate delivery records. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items, especially when using tipper lorries. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, clients, and management regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle at all times.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid HGV licence. Strong delivery driver experience with a focus on punctuality and reliability. Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Experience driving flatbed lorries is advantageous.
