Inkersall Spencer Academy is a vibrant 2-form entry primary school with a 52-place nursery, proudly serving a diverse and dynamic community. Our school is situated in a high deprivation area, but where community is at the heart of everything. We currently have 374 pupils on roll, with an above-average number of pupils with SEND and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Our nursery setting is full and oversubscribed, reflecting our strong reputation within the community. We are committed to providing an inclusive, nurturing environment where every pupil, including looked-after children (LAC) and post-LAC pupils, can thrive and achieve their full potential.

About the Role



We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to inspire and educate our wonderful pupils. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school with a strong team ethos and pupils who genuinely love to be at school.

Key Responsibilities



o

Deliver high-quality teaching to a Year 1 class, meeting the needs of all pupils.

Plan and implement engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and learning. Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. Collaborate closely with colleagues to share best practice and support whole-school priorities.

Engage with parents and carers to support pupil development and wellbeing.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Experience teaching early years or Key Stage 1 pupils is highly desirable. Ability to manage a class effectively and create a positive learning environment.
