Fountains CE Primary School is recruiting a Class Teacher to join our team and lead the delivery of teaching and learning to children in Key Stage 2.

If you are a committed teacher, who wants all children to achieve their potential, with excellent

communication skills, and a passion for education, we would love to hear from you.

Fountains CE Primary School sits in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside, providing an environment that gives our children first-hand experience of the outdoor classroom where they can engage with the changing seasons and be part of our rural community. A sense of family is important to us, and we want our children, parents, teachers, helpers, and members of the wider community to work together.

Our children are the future, and we are preparing them for a life that we cannot predict and for jobs that have not been invented yet. We need to enable our children to learn skills that will allow them access to learning wherever and whenever it may be.

Learning at Fountains is underpinned by a strong Christian ethos. We want our children to explore values, develop empathy, to be resilient and resourceful and to make connections with the wider, global community.

Fountains, along with Grewelthorpe and North Stainley CE Primary Schools, form the Ripon Rural Partnership working closely together within the Leeds Diocesan Learning Trust (LDLT). Fountains was one of the first schools to join LDLT in September 2022, a Trust with 13 primary schools across North Yorkshire, Leeds, and Craven. It offers a unique model where schools retain their individual character while benefiting from strong collaboration and high-quality support. Rooted in Christian values yet fully inclusive, the Trust prioritises the success and well-being of all children, particularly the most disadvantaged.

Please see below for a job description and a person specification. If you are interested in applying for the role or have any questions, please contact Katie Barker (Headteacher) for an informal chat in the first instance on 01765 620631. We also encourage you to visit our school so that you get a real sense of our school community and an opportunity to meet staff and children. Please email f-admin@gfnsschools.co.uk to book a visit.
