WHAT TO EXPECT

Management of the data development cycles for JLR Classic for release to deliver prototype, production and aftermarket components, systems, and vehicles. To grow and development simulation techniques to further enhance Classic vehicles and push the boundaries of parts available for Aftermarket to allow customers a broader menu of available features. Management of key technical partners to deliver digital data to enhance Classic capabilities and enhance feature USPs. Perform early technical studies and evaluate integration into various vehicle platforms.

WHAT YOU\'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

JLR\'s Special Vehicle Operations department is looking for a number of key responsibilities and accountabilities from a successful for candidates these are - the Overall responsibility for concept development and problem resolution with engineering teams, with the use of virtual engineering tools and the delivery of all aspects of the vehicle programme geometry to ensure vehicle programmes meet requirements.

You will be providing management, direction and technical expertise and support to Computer Aided Design Engineers and non-Computer Aided Designer Engineers in defining the information required to produce robust models and system / sub-system solutions.

  • Accountable for the data release to engineering and Engineering Technical Partners.
  • Responsibility of the delivery of the architecture package geometry and integration of systems to meet design.
  • Creation of data to support CAE & simulation development activities.
  • Management of data to support the digital visualisers for sales activation activities.
  • Management of 2D and 3D historical data including all archived documentation
  • Creation of data to support Aftermarket part development.
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested.
WHAT YOU\'LL NEED

Essential:
  • Previous experience in the Engineering Geometry and Stimulation gained at a management level.
  • Strong IT skills with significant experience of using virtual engineering tools.
  • Technical and practical experience of multiple Engineering commodities
  • Experience of concept generation and cross functionality problem resolution
  • Previous programme delivery experience, with strong influencing and engagement skills
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience of CATIA for detail or packaging design looking for someone that lives in parts 5 and 6
  • Knowledge of electronic based parts listing and family trees would be useful.
  • Knowledge and use of Problem-Solving Tools (Six Sigma and 8D).
  • Product Life Cycle Management Systems Experience.
  • Enovia environment - this is an industry wide system - looking for someone that has released parts - any part of transport.
