33,857 - 56,236 FTE, dependent on experience

Assistant Head Academic

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Classics to join our team at Merchant Taylors' Prep School, an independent boys' preparatory school.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering an engaging and inspiring Classics curriculum, fostering pupils' understanding of the ancient world, its languages, and culture. They will work closely with colleagues to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating school environment.

This is a fixed-term position from January 2026 - July 2026 (with potential to extend).

Hours:

Part-time role of 0.4-0.5 FTE, with a preference for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (to be discussed at interview).
