We have an opportunity for you to join North Yorkshire Council working at one of our schools Dishforth C of E Primary School, Grange Close, Thirsk YO7 3LN.
You will be a valued member of our team who will be reliable, dependable and have a strong work ethic.
Working for NYC as a Cleaner, you will be responsible for the cleaning duties on site including dusting, vacuuming and the cleaning of sanitary fittings. Full training will be provided, and the hours are between 15:45 to 19:15, with some flexibility on start and finish time and totalling to 17 hours per week over 5 days.
For this you will be paid
12.65
per hour. No weekend work!
In addition to this, we can offer the caretaker responsibilities of opening and locking the site after cleaning.
Working for NYC as a Caretaker, you will be responsible for the opening and locking and security of the building, responding to emergency call outs as well as ensuring outside areas are kept safe and clean. You will support the maintenance of the building by checking and replacing light fittings, assisting with minor repairs, and replacing consumables.
Full training will be provided.
We are looking for a caretaker to open the school from 07:00 to 08:00 and then to lock the school after the site has been cleaned at 19:15 to 19:45. For this we will pay you an additional
12.85- 13.47
per hour working 7.5 hours per week.
No weekend work!
One applicant may be suitable for both roles although we will consider each role individually.
