About the Role
We're looking for a reliable and proactive Cleaner to help us prepare, launch, and maintain a brand-new ice rink facility. This role is essential to ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all visitors--from the first day of setup through to daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Opening Phase:
Deep cleaning of all internal areas including toilets, changing rooms, staff spaces, and public zones
Assisting with setup of cleaning stations, signage, and waste disposal systems
Supporting contractors and site teams with cleanliness during fit-out and equipment installation
Opening & Operational Phase:
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the rink, viewing areas, cafe, corridors, and toilets
Regular checks and cleaning of high-touch surfaces, bins, and public seating areas
Responding promptly to spillages, accidents, or hygiene alerts
Replenishing supplies (soap, paper towels, sanitiser) and reporting stock shortages
Ongoing Duties:
Following daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules
Using appropriate cleaning products and equipment safely and effectively
Reporting maintenance issues or hazards to the Duty Manager
Supporting event setups and post-event clean-downs when required
What We're Looking For
Previous cleaning experience in leisure, hospitality, or public venues (preferred)
A proactive attitude and pride in maintaining high standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and a calm approach in busy environments
Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
Job Type: Part-time
