About Us
Hospice at Home's skilled team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants provide our exceptional core services of palliative and end of life care and support people in their last year of life also providing additional services such as Lymphoedema, Bereavement and Family Support, Befriending, Occupational Therapy and Complementary Therapy.
We provide individualised care and support to improve quality of life and our end of life care helps facilitate a peaceful and dignified death in the home and support to those who are bereaved.
Although we receive some funding from the NHS, we need to raise over 85% of our running costs in order to ensure that this vital help is available when needed and remains free of charge to patients and their families.
Our clinical service area covers a mixture of urban and rural communities, a region of approximately 1,500 square miles throughout North and East Cumbria.
Office Cleaner
Are you a dedicated and reliable Office Cleaner who can help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in our Head Office building?
Our organisation plays a vital role in providing high-quality end-of-life care for adults in their own homes while supporting their families and carers.
Your contribution as an Office Cleaner will ensure a hygienic, welcoming and comfortable space for staff, volunteers, patients, and visitors.
Essential Criteria:
Literacy skills appropriate for the role's demands.
Experience in cleaning a building on a large scale.
Knowledge/awareness of cleaning chemicals, storage, and disposal.
Understanding of health and safety and COSHH requirements.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage tasks independently.
Desirable Criteria:
COSHH qualification or similar.
Experience working autonomously in a cleaning role.
Previous experience in a healthcare or charity setting.
Ability to adapt to the needs of the building and its users.
A team player with high levels of personal hygiene and appearance.
This is an autonomous role, and you will liaise with and engage with various building users, including Hospice at Home staff, volunteers, patients, and their carers.
