The Facilities Management (FM) Service comprises several diverse and multi-disciplined teams that are responsible for the safe operation, management, maintenance and efficiency of the Council's property assets. The teams provide a range of services and support to the Council's operational, commercial and schools portfolios ensuring the Councils legislative obligations are fulfilled.

Repairs and Maintenance (R&M) Team Compliance and Surveying Team Building Cleaning Team - Responsible for ensuring that all Council properties are clean and fit for occupation and securing a high level of occupant satisfaction. Property Information Team Energy Management Team Facilities Management & Site Services Team

What is the job role?

We have multiple part time opportunities for Cleaners within our Cleaning team.

We are a key service department within the Council providing a routine cleaning service to corporate and public buildings, including the Council's head office at Friargate and libraries. We expect our team to achieve high standards of cleaning and to have a can-do approach, in return for which we offer a competitive rate of pay and pension scheme, good training, development and support.


In your job role you will:

Clean a designated area to a high standard Undertake mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, polishing and buffing Cleaning of toilets and emptying bins Clean with due care to health and safety

You'll need:

Knowledge of cleaning practises, along with Health and Safety principles. Be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. Be able to work to strict timescales. Be able to understand verbal and written instructions. Be physically fit. Reliable, flexible, trustworthy and hardworking.

Number of hours per week: 15 & 10 hours
