Cleaner

Part time, 10 hours per week

Grade 1 (12.60 per hour)

Abertay university is seeking reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented cleaner to join our Team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Working hours:

6:00 - 8:00 am, Monday - Friday (some weekend work may be required)

This role requires a strong work ethic and effective time management skills. You should be able to work independently as well as part of a team and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Mopping floors and vacuuming carpets in corridors, classrooms, and communal areas Dusting and wiping down surfaces, including desks, shelves, and windowsills Cleaning and disinfecting toilets, washrooms, and changing areas Using cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers and carpet cleaners (training provided if needed) Removing rubbish and recycling from bins and replacing liners Ensuring cleaning supplies are maintained and stored properly Reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor Following health and safety regulations and university policies
