Job Description

We're looking for a cleaner to join our growing team in Eastbourne and East Sussex. If you're reliable, take pride in your work, and want to be part of a supportive team where people actually enjoy showing up, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing: residential and commercial cleaning. You'll work both solo and with others depending on the job, so you need to be comfortable working your own way but also gelling well as part of a team. You'll have your own rounds and good support behind you.

What we're looking for: someone who's got a bit of oomph to them, can work independently and as part of a pair or group, and cares about doing a proper job. Must have a full driving license and your own transport - you'll be getting to different properties across Eastbourne and East Sussex. We're not fussed about experience if you're willing to learn - training's all sorted.

Hours: 10-20 hours per week once you've completed probation. Flexible within that so we can work around you if needed.

Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas to high standards Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and stored properly after use Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning tasks Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents or injuries Manage waste disposal efficiently and responsibly Assist with specialised cleaning tasks as required, including carpet or window cleaning

Experience

Previous experience in commercial or domestic cleaning is preferred but not essential; training will be provided Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travel between sites Good command of English to understand instructions and communicate effectively with team members and clients Customer service skills are beneficial for roles involving interaction with clients or visitors Strong communication skills to coordinate tasks efficiently within a team environment
