We are seeking a diligent and dependable Cleaner to join our dedicated healthcare team. As a Cleaner - Healthcare, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. Your daily responsibilities will include cleaning patient rooms, treatment areas, waiting rooms, offices, corridors, and washrooms to the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control. You will be expected to sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces, as well as empty waste bins and replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies as needed. Adhering strictly to infection prevention and control protocols, you'll be responsible for handling cleaning chemicals safely and following set procedures for the disposal of clinical and general waste.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a healthcare or similar cleaning role, though full training will be provided for the right individual. You must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills and attention to detail are essential, as is a respectful and compassionate attitude towards patients and their families. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required to meet the needs of the facility. You should be physically fit, able to stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks. A willingness to undergo a background check and immunization screening is essential to comply with healthcare regulations and safeguard our hospital community.
