We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our healthcare team, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. As a vital member of our facility, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control across patient rooms, clinical areas, waiting rooms, restrooms, and public spaces. Your main duties will include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces and equipment. You will also be tasked with disposing of clinical and general waste safely, refilling supplies such as soap and paper towels, and reporting any maintenance issues or hazards promptly to your supervisor.
To excel in this role, you should have a strong attention to detail, an understanding of infection prevention protocols, and the ability to follow strict cleaning schedules and checklists. Previous experience in healthcare or commercial cleaning is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided. You must be comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and equipment and be physically able to carry out manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods. Good communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. Successful candidates must be willing to undergo background checks and may be required to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays to meet the needs of the facility.
