Metroline Manchester is a recently formed subsidiary of ComfortDelGro, in March 2024 we were awarded contracts to operate four franchises and join the Bee Network in Greater Manchester by Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA). Metroline was formed in 1989, fourth largest bus operator in London running about 17 percent of the city's scheduled bus services and has been a part of the largest private land transport company Comfort Del Gro since 2000. 12.51 per hour
As a Depot cleaner you will be part of the Engineering team to keep the depot clean and tidy as well as helping with the general day-to-day Engineering operations. This is a great opportunity for someone to join a great working environment as part of the Engineering dream team and partnering with the wider team at our Hyde Road depot.
Main Responsibilities
Responsible for keeping the relevant work area clean and tidy and to clean up spillages in accordance with Metroline's Health and Safety policy and procedure
Maintain the cleanliness of the Depot
Help Engineering function with general tasks within the depot
Pick up parts from other depots and suppliers when required
Any other reasonable duties as directed by management that lies within the scope of the jobholder's responsibilities

Essential Criteria
Cleaning techniques including the safe use of mechanical and manual equipment
An understanding of relevant safe working practices as required by COSHH regulations including the safe storage and disposal of highly corrosive and toxic materials
An understanding of the standards required by Metroline Manchester
Desirable Criteria
The post holder should possess or be willing to obtain a suitable qualification (e.g. NVQ level 1)
A driving licence (preferably PCV) would be desirable
