Job Description

We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated cleaner to join our team for the cleaning of welfare cabins used by construction workers involved in the expansion project at Channings Wood Prison.

Please note that the cabins are located within the prison premises, but not the prison itself. BPSS security will be required.

Role Details:

- Work Schedule: Every Monday; Wednesday and Friday

- Location: Channings Wood Prison construction site (external welfare cabins)

- Contract Type: Temporary (with potential for extension)

- Contract Duration: Until December 2026

- Proposed Start Date: 27th October 2025

- Start Time: 8:00am

- End Time: 11:00am

The welfare cabins to be cleaned include office spaces, meeting rooms, canteens, toilets, and drying rooms.

Interviews will be conducted as soon as possible via video call through Indeed.

Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out routine cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming

- Clean and sanitise toilets, break rooms, and other shared facilities

- Empty bins and replace liners as needed

- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces

- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all common and high-traffic areas

- Adhere to all health and safety protocols and cleaning procedures

- Excellent attention to detail

- Effective time management skills

- Ability to work independently and manage workloads efficiently

- Strong communication skills for coordination with team members and supervisors

- Physical fitness to perform repetitive tasks and remain on your feet for extended periods
