Job Description
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking cleaner to join our friendly nursery team. The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our children, staff, and visitors.
The position is Monday-Friday. However we would be happy for the Friday clean to be completed on a Saturday or Sunday if preferred by the candidate. Cleaning would take place after nursery closes (5.45pm) for approximately 2.5 hours each evening.
Cleaning equipment and products to be provided by the nursery.
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning classrooms, toilets, staff rooms, and communal areas Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors Wiping down surfaces and furniture Ensuring all cleaning materials and chemicals are used safely and stored appropriately Reporting any health and safety concerns to the nursery manager Locking up the premises at the end of the shift.
Requirements:
Previous cleaning experience preferred (experience in a school or nursery setting is an advantage) Awareness of health and safety and hygiene standards Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Friendly and respectful attitude, especially around young children and staff Willingness to get a DBS check (paid for by the nursery) Drivers License is essential as there are no public transport links.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.30 per hour
Expected hours: 12.5 per week
