Diamond UK Facilities Management are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and team orientated
Cleaning Operative
to work within our
Sight Scotland
client site, a
Veterans Centre located at 198 Hawkhead Road, Paisley PA2 7BS
.
If successful, we require you to have held a PVG for Vulnerable Adults or be willing to go through the process to apply for one. You will need to have one current piece of photo ID which must be a passport, driving licence or provisional driving licence in order for to obtain one. We pay the cost of your PVG and start off the process of applying and then Disclosure Scotland get in touch with you for further details.
Number of Hours:
14 hours per week
Times:
3.30 pm to 6.00 pm - 2 days per week
3.00 pm to 6.00 pm - 3 days per week (the extra half hour is for litter picking)
You must be comfortable with litter picking in the grounds three times a week for 30 minutes each. This is a crucial part of the role and you must be willing to do this if you take the job on.
These times are not flexible due to restrictions on access to the client building however you can choose which 3 days per week you come in at the earlier time of 3.00 pm to carry out the litter picking duties which must be done 3 times per week.
Rate of pay will be:
12.21 per hour
Uniform will be provided.
Duties
(which are shared with the other team member when working)
are:
Brushing, hoovering and mopping all rooms, as required, within the centre.
Emptying bins.
Cleaning the toilets, replenishing toilet rolls , paper towels, soap and any air fresheners that require changed.
Cleaning the office areas, dining room, gym hall, computer room, woodwork room, skills room, reception, corridors, small kitchen upstairs, landing and stairs.
Cleaning doors, lifts and kickplates.
Part of the role is to litter pick in the grounds for 30 minutes, 3 times a week.
This list is not exhaustive. Tasks are scheduled in a programme and shared between the two team members throughout the week.
What we need from you:
You will have at least 3 years commercial cleaning experience and must have experience of cleaning in an office environment.
You will be a positive and enthusiastic person who is used to working with others to get the job done.
You are reliable and conscientious about your cleaning.
You must have held a PVG for Vulnerable Adults or be open to us applying for one as soon as you have accepted the position.
You must have current photo ID - either a passport, driving licence or provisional licence.
You must be able to work within the UK.
You must be able to commute easily to this site via car or by public transport.
