Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various areas, ensuring a welcoming environment and clean setting.

Please be Aware this role will be working alongside our current Male cleaner.

DBS will be mandatory.

Job description for the role:

To provide a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the pre-school.

Follow the Cleaning Checklist to ensure all areas of the preschool are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness

Empty and wash out bins in all rooms.

Put out general waste and recycling bins on correct days to be emptied by the council bin lorry.

Tidy and dust all areas of the playrooms and behind furniture.

Tidy and dust Offices.

Vacuum carpets and floors

Clean toilets and hand basins.

Wash floors in all rooms.

Wipe around surface in kitchen.

Damp dust where appropriate.

Keep a check on cleaning materials and re-order via the Manager.

Lock or unlock the building securely.

To work as a member of the staff team

To advise the Manager of any concerns - for instance over setting issues or the safety of equipment - preserving confidentiality as necessary.

To attend training courses and meetings as required keeping up to date all legal required certificates e.g. COSHH

To keep completely confidential any information regarding children, their families or other staff that is learned as part of the job.

Any other duties considered necessary by the managers to ensure the safe and successful running of the business.

Complete preschool emergency checks, e.g. Fire alarm, fire extinguisher, fire exits, emergency lighting and water temp checks.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
