Job Description
: Nursery Cleaner / House Keeper
Responsible to:
The nursery cleaner is responsible to the Manager and the Deputy Manager.
Duties the nursery cleaner will be required to carry out are:
Working in partnership with the manager and deputy to ensure the cleanliness of the nursery, adhering to the policies and procedures of Barrachnie Nursery and in compliance with COSSH Regulations, Health and Safety legislation and within the guidance of the Care Inspectorate.
All rooms, toilets and changing areas.
Ensuring all floors are brushed and moped.
Carpets to be vacuumed and edges clean.
Dust all furniture, picture frames, ledges, skirting's, sills and radiators. Polish where necessary.
Wash WC pans and washbasins using germicidal disinfectant.
Damp dust and polish taps and mirrors.
Damp dust pipes, cisterns, disposal units and towel cabinets.
Damp dust splash back behind sinks.
Replenish toilet roll, soap, and paper towels.
Clean all mirrors, hand rails etc
Damp dust light switches, doors and walls to remove any marks.
Damp dust skirting's, ledges and sills.
Sterilize bins with bleach.
Wash mop heads.
Wash windows (inside).
All other duties which are appropriate to the role.
PVG REQUIRED FOR WORK IN A NURSERY
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 15 per week
