Job Overview

We are seeking a part time Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards for the offices, restrooms, and kitchen areas at 2 small industrial units on Merrylees Industrial Estate. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work and possess strong communication skills. Applicants should have a positive attitude, be reliable, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

The factories operate four days a week and cleaning is required alternate days. Either Monday & Wednesday morning or Tuesday & Thursday morning. Its estimated at 3 hrs per visit.

Duties

Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas to meet health and safety standards Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used efficiently and stored properly Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure thorough cleanliness Assist with special cleaning projects as required Communicate effectively with team members and clients to coordinate cleaning schedules and address any specific requirements

Experience

Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided Valid driving licence is preferred for roles requiring travel between sites Good command of English, both spoken and written, is essential for effective communication Strong communication skills are necessary to work efficiently within a team environment and report issues clearly
