Located in the heart of Newcastle's Central Station, The Centurion Bar is a historic and vibrant venue known for its stunning architecture, welcoming atmosphere and high standards of service. We're looking for a reliable and hardworking cleaner to join our team and help maintain the bar's excellent reputation for cleanliness and presentation.

Role Overview

As a cleaner at The Centurion Bar, you will be responsible for ensuring that all public areas, restrooms, and staff facilities are kept spotless, hygienic and presentable at all times. You'' take pride in your work and help create a safe, clean and inviting environment for both customers and staff.

Key responsibilities

- Clean and sanitise all public areas, including bar spaces, seating areas, and rest rooms,

- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces.

- Empty bins and manage waste in accordance with health and safety procedures.

- Restock restroom supplies and cleaning materials as required

- Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained and stored correctly

- Follow all health, hygiene and safety regulations

- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the management team

- Assist with additional cleaning duties during events, busy periods or deep cleans

Requirements

- previous experience in cleaning, hospitality or in a similar role (preferred)

- Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness

- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

- Flexible and available for early morning, late evening and weekend shifts.

- Awareness of health and safety and COSHH procedures

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour
