Communal Area Cleaner - Residential Flats.

We are looking for an excellent cleaner to ensure that all communal areas within the residential block, including entrances, stairwells, hallways, lifts, windows, and bin stores, are kept clean, safe, and well-maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Clean all communal areas of the building, including entrances, corridors, stairs, lifts, landings, and internal windows. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, ensuring they are free of dust, debris, and litter. Wipe down handrails, skirting boards, doors, and other touch surfaces. Empty communal bins and ensure bin stores are kept tidy, clean, and free of unpleasant odours. Disinfect high-contact areas such as door handles, intercom panels, and lift buttons. Clean glass panels, mirrors, and other reflective surfaces. Report any maintenance issues, damage, or health and safety concerns to the Property Manager. Follow all site-specific cleaning schedules and checklists. Work in a responsible and professional manner, maintaining good relationships with residents and site staff.

Working Schedule

Working Days: Tuesdays and Fridays Times: 08:00am-14.30pm (some flexibility on times) Pay Rate: 13.00 per hour + holiday pay, paid weekly

Key Skills and Qualities

Previous cleaning experience in residential or commercial buildings preferred. Attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Awareness of health and safety practices, including safe handling of cleaning chemicals (COSHH). Good communication skills and a polite, respectful manner.
