Job Location

: Peninsula Heart Clinic, which is located within Derriford Hospital (Derriford Road, Plymouth, PL6 8DH).

Hours

: Full time (37.5 hours/week), spread over Monday - Saturday.

Working Time Pattern

: Variable according to the needs of the service, but examples of shift patterns as follows: 08:30 - 17:00, 11:00 - 20:30. Working pattern/rotas will be discussed in more details at the interview.

Job Summary


Regent's Park Healthcare (RPH) is looking for a Cleaner to join our Peninsula Heart Clinic (PHC), based in Plymouth. Peninsula Heart Clinic is a joint venture between University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust and Regent's Park Healthcare (a leading provider of cardiac services with locations across the UK).

The Cleaner at Peninsula Heart Clinic will carry out cleaning duties to the highest standard (both clinical and non-clinical areas of the PHC, including windows and the outside of the building), as well as supporting stores management. A cleaner must have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and commitment to patient services. The cleaning duties involve working to various protocols and procedures and working within clinical guidelines and regulations, which is an important aspect to our organisation.

Responsibilities



In no particular order, the type of responsibilities and duties are outlined below:

To follow all Health and Safety, COSHH and Infection Control policies and observe personnel duty of care in relation to equipment, procedures, and resources, including managing contractors on site. To undertake general clinical cleaning duties in line with pre agreed work plans and schedules that meet the government "clean hospitals" audit level. To ensure all ward areas, theatres/Cath Lab, clinical, public areas, and staff working areas are kept clean and tidy by damp dusting, dust control mopping, damp mopping. To partake in and complete deep cleans to remove infections following the agreed infection control policy. To use the cleaning equipment as instructed, to keep it clean and free from damage and to report any faults. To clean and restock sanitary areas and report faults to General Manager. To collect clinical waste and general waste to external refuse area. To flush water outlets and submit monthly records in line with Trust Policy and to undertake water quality checks. To check around the external facilities for cleanliness and security. To take all dirty laundry to the linen room and collect clean laundry. To report maintenance faults to General Manager. To check cleaning consumables stock, complete order sheets and put stock away. To complete training to use specialist cleaning equipment such as mechanised floor scrubbing machines, buffing, polishing and steaming equipment to maintain and clean areas. To be responsible for keeping mandatory training up to date. To attend any relevant training courses as required.

Pay: 25,198.95 per year
