Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and caring Home Cleaner to support the cleanliness and organisation of a private family home. The successful candidate will help maintain a hygienic, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all members of the household. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, and understands the importance of discretion and trust in a family setting.

Duties

Carry out regular and thorough cleaning of the home, including floors, surfaces, bathrooms, kitchens, windows, and household fixtures Wash, iron, fold, and neatly organise household laundry, ensuring garments are cared for according to instructions Use appropriate cleaning products, laundry equipment, and ironing tools to maintain high standards of hygiene and garment care Keep cleaning and laundry supplies well stocked and inform the family when replacements are needed Dispose of household waste responsibly and in line with health and safety guidelines Identify and report any maintenance issues, damage, or potential hazards within the home Follow health and safety practices to ensure a safe environment for children, adults, and pets Assist with occasional deep cleaning tasks or additional household tidying as required (e.g. after family events or busy periods)

Skills & Attributes

Good communication skills in English to understand instructions and communicate clearly with the family Friendly, respectful, and professional manner, with a strong sense of discretion Experience with ironing and garment care, with attention to fabric types and finishes Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage cleaning and laundry tasks efficiently High attention to detail to consistently maintain a clean and well-presented home Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also being flexible to household needs Driving ability is desirable where travel or errands may occasionally be required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour
