Join Our Neighbourhood Cleaning Team - Full-Time Opportunity



We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Neighbourhood Cleaning Team at Southampton City Council.



This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll work at the heart of our communities, helping to maintain high standards of cleanliness in the communal areas of council-owned flats.


Key Responsibilities:




Clean and maintain communal areas in both walk-up and tower blocks. Keep external areas tidy, safe, and free from litter and obstructions. Take care of cleaning equipment and report any faults. Follow Health & Safety procedures and report concerns. Work closely with the housing management team to support a safe and welcoming environment.

What We're Looking For:




Someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to community service. A valid UK driving licence is essential for this role. Experience in cleaning or caretaking is helpful but not required - full training will be provided.

The salary band for this role is 24,795 to 25,185 The

starting salary is 24,795

with annual progression through the salary bands.
