We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and reliable cleaner to join our friendly team of dedicated cleaning staff who take great pride in providing an excellent quality service to the College and its staff and students.
This is a permanent, part-time role requiring 15 hours per week, with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 9:30am.
Please note that this is a term time only position, working 38 weeks per year. Your salary will be paid on a pro rata basis depending on your start date. The full 38 week pro rata salary for an academic year is 8,578.51.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness in offices, classrooms, and event spaces to agreed standards. Duties include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, floor polishing, and cleaning windows and mirrors. You will also carry out regular toilet cleaning to maintain hygiene facilities to a high standard. In addition, you will be responsible for occasional deep cleaning tasks, ensuring health and safety compliance, such as handling bodily fluids and periodic holiday cleaning. Report issues, damages, or hazards and adhere to health and safety protocols. Manage building security, access, and cleaning equipment while maintaining confidentiality. Support the organisation's objectives and take part in training to stay updated with industry practices. Undertake other duties as directed by management, ensuring consistent, high-quality service.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
This would be a great opportunity for an individual with experience of cleaning in an industrial, educational environment or other similar experience is essential as is the ability to communicate effectively with staff, students and the public.
