Job Summary

Burtonfields Hall is family run wedding and events venue just outside of Stamford Bridge, York.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be working alongside the existing housekeeping/cleaning team and be responsible for post event changeovers and maintaining cleanliness throughout the house.

The main wedding season is between April and October when the majority of cleaning and bedroom changeovers are required.

On average there will between 12 and 18 hours per week.

In the off-season fewer hours are needed.

This is a semi-casual role.

Pay is 13.50/hour. However, statutory holiday pay of 12.07% is added to this resulted in an a gross pay of 15.12/hour

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, and restrooms. Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and effectively. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in accordance with company policies and procedures. Assist in the preparation of areas for special events or functions as needed.

Skills

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or hotel environments is preferred but not essential. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure thorough cleaning tasks are completed effectively. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests and colleagues. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
