Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order within our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This position requires a strong attention to detail, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The job is being advertised as 18 hours per week, however we may ask for more hours if we require.

Duties



Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas. Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, kitchen, and communal spaces. Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with company policies. Ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Management team. Assist with special cleaning projects as needed, such as deep cleaning or event preparation. Conducting routine checks to maintain site safety and security Carrying out maintenance and repair tasks. (eg. Basic DIY, unclogging drains, replacing door handles, painting, buffing the floors.) Hedge cutting in the playground area

Skills



Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS criminal record check. Successful reference checks (x2) from past 2 places of work. Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Basic maintenance or DIY experience is essential. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team. Good communication skills to interact effectively with staff and occupants. Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.50-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 18 per week
