Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for our guests. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent time management skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and prepare guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitising bathrooms.
- Ensure all public areas, including hallways, lounges, and dining areas, are kept clean and tidy.
- Replace used towels, linens, and toiletries in guest rooms and restock supplies as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the management team promptly.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Assist in laundry duties as required, including washing, drying, and folding linens and towels.
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock is low.
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond to guest requests and inquiries in a friendly manner.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations and a seamless guest experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
