Overview
We are recruiting a responsible caring and reliable team member to join our team for housekeeping/cleaning duties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our nursery.

The person who is employed will be vetted thoroughly and will need a current enhanced DBS.

Duties

To follow the nurseries induction programme and become familiar with all of the policies and procedures within the nursery

To complete training such as safeguarding, first aid and food hygiene.

Perform general cleaning duties in various rooms, including offices, kitchen, staff rooms and children's rooms and public areas. To be responsible for the nursery laundry.

Dust and wipe surfaces, including furniture, fixtures, and equipment.

Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to ensure cleanliness and safety.

Clean restrooms, replenishing supplies as needed and ensuring hygiene standards are met.

Dispose of waste materials in accordance with health and safety regulations. Keep a log of all food waste

Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.

Follow established cleaning procedures and protocols to maintain quality standards.

To use equipment appropriately and for its intended purpose only.

To keep nursery laundry up to date.

To ensure that dishwashing is done in a timely manner after the children's meals.

Experience

Previous experience in commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential as training will be provided. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes. A positive attitude towards work and a commitment to providing excellent service.
