Job Purpose
As a Cleaning Area Manager at NuClean Group, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of multiple cleaning contracts across your assigned area. You will ensure all sites are cleaned to the highest standard, staff are well supported and trained, and client expectations are exceeded. You will play a key role in upholding service delivery, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
Oversee the delivery of cleaning services across multiple commercial sites
Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and audits to maintain service standards
Manage and monitor rotas, shift patterns, and staff deployment
Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and COSHH standards
Team Leadership
Recruit, onboard, and train cleaning operatives and site supervisors
Motivate and develop your team, promoting a culture of accountability and excellence
Monitor performance and address issues through structured support or disciplinary action where necessary
Conduct regular toolbox talks and refresher training
Client Relationship Management
Act as the primary point of contact for clients within your area
Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients
Respond promptly to client concerns, feedback, or requests
Attend regular client review meetings and provide performance updates
Administration & Reporting
Ensure accurate completion and submission of timesheets, audits, and site reports
Record absences, holidays, and manage staff cover as required
Report on performance metrics and escalate any issues to senior management
Support the mobilisation of new contracts or changes in service scope
Person Specification
Essential:
Previous experience in a multi-site cleaning management role
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
Confident using mobile apps and reporting software
Desirable:
BICSc or equivalent cleaning qualification
Knowledge of TUPE, HR processes, and health & safety legislation
Experience with staffing systems.
