We're looking for a hands-on Cleaning Manager / Contracts Manager to oversee our commercial cleaning contracts in the Bedford area. This is a field-based role where you'll split your time between doing your own cleaning jobs, checking standards on site, and supporting cleaners and clients.
Key responsibilities
Carry out regular cleaning at your own allocated sites
Visit sites to complete spot checks and quality inspections
Lead and support cleaners: training, guidance and day-to-day supervision
Meet with clients on site, deal with queries and resolve any issues
Organise cover for sickness/holiday and help with new contract set-ups
Keep basic records of staff hours, site visits and issues raised
What we're looking for
Proven commercial cleaning experience
Experience supervising or managing cleaners (team leader, supervisor, manager, etc.)
Happy to be hands-on with cleaning as well as managing
Full UK driving licence and access to your own car (mileage paid)
Flexible - able to work mornings, evenings and some weekends
Reliable, organised and confident speaking to staff and customers
