We are seeking a motivated Cleaning Operations Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality Healthcare Cleaning Services.

This role is pivotal in ensuring that services are not only delivered to the highest standards but also aligned with financial, operational, and regulatory requirements.


As the Cleaning Operations Manager, you will lead a dedicated team, promoting a culture of service excellence while upholding contractual and compliance standards.

You will be responsible for the planning, management, and development of cleaning services across healthcare environments, ensuring that productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction targets are consistently met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities


Plan, manage, and develop healthcare cleaning services to meet operational, financial, and performance targets. Lead and motivate the cleaning service team, ensuring staff are well-supported, trained, and engaged. Drive a culture of customer service excellence, ensuring expectations and contractual obligations are achieved or exceeded. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and the wider Trust. Manage resources effectively to balance service demand with financial targets. Oversee recruitment, induction, and training of staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and safe working practices. Compile budgets, forecasts, and business cases in line with company policy. Monitor and report on service quality, activity levels, and performance metrics. Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, including the correct use of equipment and PPE. Provide clear direction, guidance, and leadership to all team members.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications


Experience in Healthcare Cleaning Management. Full driving licence held for at least 2 years. Proven experience in leading teams and working independently on own initiative. Strong client liaison and negotiation skills, preferably within the healthcare sector. Basic understanding of the NHS and patient care requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior management level. Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines. Effective problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach. Competence in report writing and financial planning.
