New Gorbals Housing Association is a dynamic community-controlled organisation. We own and manage over 2,654 homes for rent and factor over 1,868 owners' homes. We are committed to the sustained physical, social and economic regeneration of Gorbals.

We are looking to fill the following post (39 hours per week) for a permanent position:

Cleaning Operative - Estate Services x2

We are seeking a committed and hard-working individual to join our Estates Services Team, delivering essential cleaning services across the Gorbals area of Glasgow.

This role involves working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and may require occasional flexible or weekend working depending on operational needs. Uniform and protective equipment will be provided.

You will have relevant professional cleaning experience, ideally including communal close cleaning, bin store maintenance, deep cleaning of void properties, and "sparkle cleans" for re-let homes. Experience in waste clearance and maintaining high hygiene standards will be essential.

You will be committed to ensuring the delivery of safe working practices, following structured cleaning methods, and achieving consistently high standards. You will be able to plan, organise, and deliver your workload effectively while working both independently and as part of a small team.

BICS (British Institute of Cleaning Science) training, a full driving licence, and previous experience in a social housing or public sector environment would be advantageous.

We are looking for a team player who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail, and can contribute positively to the continuous improvement of our Estates Services.

Overall, you will have sound communication skills and be able to demonstrate a positive approach and commitment to delivery of the Association's key objectives.
