About the Role



We're looking for a reliable and hardworking

Cleaning Operative

to join a dedicated team keeping commercial sites and public areas clean, safe and well maintained. This is a physical, hands-on role working outdoors in all weather conditions and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities



Report to the Business Services Manager or delegated officer. Collect and remove bulk or bagged refuse from designated areas. Follow all procedures to maintain the security of property and equipment. Attend training sessions as required and safely operate new equipment and methods. Clean, maintain and store all cleaning tools and materials; report any defects promptly. Order/request cleaning materials when stock runs low. Support the vehicle driver with vehicle cleaning (inside and outside) regularly. Carry out all duties with full regard to Health & Safety and Equality & Diversity policies.

About You



Minimum

1 year's experience

in cleaning, waste management, grounds maintenance or a similar role. Able to carry out cleaning, loading, and physical tasks as directed. Confident working without close supervision and as part of a team. Able to complete safety checks on tools and materials. Flexible and willing to adapt to new tasks, methods and procedures. Willing to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Commitment to equal opportunities in the workplace and service delivery. Willing to work outside normal working hours if needed.
