Position: Cleaning Operative

Location: Clapton

Employment Type: Part-time

Working hours:

Monday to Friday: 4:00 PM - 07:00 PM (3 hours per day)

Hourly pay rate: 13.85

Key Responsibilities:



? Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times, especially when working in customer-occupied environments.

? Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and surface sanitisation across assigned areas.

? Follow site-specific checklists and cleaning protocols to meet the customer's and company's expectations. This often includes the use of technology.

? Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and efficiently, reporting any faults or supply shortages.

? Report any issues, damages, or hazards to the site supervisor or manager promptly.

? Rotate between multiple sites as required.

? Engage with the Time and Attendance system to ensure accuracy of payroll.

Additional Responsibilities



? Operate specialist equipment such as floor scrubbers, carpet cleaners etc.

? Secure the site at the end of the shift (e.g., locking doors, switching off lights/equipment) as required.

? Adhere to infection control procedures, especially when cleaning clinical or food-preparation environments.

? Maintain secure handling of access cards, keys, or alarm codes for the premises.

? Assist in occasional deep-clean or project-based cleaning tasks outside of regular routines.

?You're punctual and able to manage your time well during shifts.

?You follow health & safety practices and take care when handling cleaning products and equipment.

?You're comfortable following instructions and are willing to learn new techniques or adapt to different sites.

?You're physically able to carry out cleaning tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for periods of time.

?You have a positive attitude and work well independently or alongside others.

Additional Requirements:



?Previous experience in commercial/office/clinical cleaning is preferred but not essential.

?Ability to travel between sites may be required (for mobile roles).

?Strong spoken English is required for health and safety or customer-facing settings.
