Cleaning Operative

Location: Mallusk area, Northern Ireland

Rate: 12.71 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaning Operative to join our client's team on a permanent basis in the Mallusk area. You'll be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across both warehouse and office environments, ensuring all areas are hygienic, safe, and presentable.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Cleaning: Sweeping, mopping, emptying bins, and dusting racking and workstations. Office Cleaning: Vacuuming carpets, wiping desks, sanitising communal areas (kitchens, restrooms), and replenishing supplies. General Upkeep: Reporting any maintenance issues, restocking consumables (soap, paper towels), and ensuring all cleaning equipment is stored correctly. Flexibility: Adapting to rota changes and last-minute cover requirements due to staff absence or operational demands.

Working pattern

Various shifts available: Morning (e.g. 06:00-14:00) Afternoon (e.g. 14:00-22:00) Night (e.g. 22:00-06:00) Rotas issued weekly; occasional short-notice adjustments may be required. Hours will fluctuate based on cover needs; full-time and part-time availability considered.

Requirements

Previous cleaning experience preferred (warehouse/industrial or office environments). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent time-management and organisational skills. Physically fit, able to handle repetitive tasks and lifting of cleaning equipment. Reliable, punctual, and flexible with availability. Basic understanding of health & safety and COSHH regulations is an advantage.
