Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in a site we have in st ives cambridge , ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service.

This is a role for two people , Doing 2 hours each per evening , its a key job so can be flexible with times if cleaning is to be done in evening the closing times do vary over the course of two weeks , so some times you can start a little earlier or later , the the option is if both candidates wanted todo mornings they could also do this.

Duties

Perform cleaning tasks in designated areas, including offices, restrooms, and communal spaces. Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness. Clean and sanitise surfaces, fixtures, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. Interact with clients and staff in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any concerns or requests promptly. Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations. Maintain an organised stock of cleaning supplies and report when replenishment is needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in a cleaning role is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients and team members. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on providing a positive experience for all users of the space. Ability to drive is advantageous for roles that require travel between locations. A proactive approach to work with attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Flexibility in working hours may be required based on operational needs.
