About the client:
The client, a sprawling national park nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Shropshire, stands as a beacon of natural beauty and conservation efforts. With extensive trails, visitor centers, educational programs, and conservation initiatives, the national park in Shropshire serves as a cherished destination for nature enthusiasts and a vital sanctuary for local flora and fauna alike.
Hours of work:
Sunday-Wednesday between 06:00-10:30 (18 hours per week total). Hourly rate to be paid at double time on Sundays and time and a half on Bank Holidays.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Thoroughly disinfect and sanitise areas
Properly handle and dispose of waste according to guidelines.
Clean and sanitise public areas like toilet blocks
Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies
Ensure cleaning equipment is well-maintained and functional.
Communicate maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
Keep accurate records of cleaning activities for compliance.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines, using PPE as needed.
Respond to emergency cleaning situations effectively.
Collaborate with cleaning and site staff for a clean environment.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Cleaning Operative or similar role
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
Good communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
