About our client:



Our client, situated in Shrewsbury, is a medical practice focused on delivering top-tier healthcare to the local community. They offer a range of tailored services aimed at supporting the well-being of each patient, with a team of experienced professionals providing care in a friendly and compassionate environment.



Hours of work:

Monday-Thursday 18:00-21:15 and Friday 18:00-21:30, totalling 17.5 hours per week

Rate of Pay:

12.21 per hour



Duties and Responsibilities:



Thoroughly disinfect and sanitise medical equipment, surfaces, and patient rooms.



Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.



Properly handle and dispose of medical waste according to guidelines.



Clean and sanitise public areas like waiting rooms, offices, kitchens, communal areas restrooms, and corridors.



Perform specialised cleaning in critical areas like operating rooms.



Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in patient and public areas.



Ensure cleaning equipment is well-maintained and functional.



Communicate maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.



Keep accurate records of cleaning activities for compliance.



Adhere to health and safety guidelines, using PPE as needed.



Respond to emergency cleaning situations effectively.



Collaborate with cleaning and medical staff for a clean environment.



Requirements:



Proven experience as a Cleaning Operative or similar role

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks

Good communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
