If you enjoy working alone, have a great eye for detail and can ensure the highest levels of cleaning in various settings including offices and respite care as well as a Day service location then we want to hear from you!

Hours: Flexible, but with a minimum of 5 days per week

Location: Urmston (on-site)

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Who are Away Day Care?

You would be joining a family run business, originally founded by the family who set up our first Day Service Centre from their own family home. This came after realising there was a strong need for support in their local area. We are an award-winning, high-quality provider of person-centred social care services for young adults.

We assist people with a range of needs including learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health, dementia, Autistic spectrum, and sensory needs. Our sites are in the heart of the community, with a range of different settings including a comprehensive Day Service, Respite facility with state-of-the-art Hydrotherapy Spa and Sensory Suite, Supported Living settings, promoting development and life skills and an Employability hub.

As the business has grown we now require the support of a Cleaning Operative to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness across our services. You will move between our locations across Urmston to ensure our settings are of the highest standard.

Responsibilities will include:

Providing daily and weekly cleans to our services which may include, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, window cleaning, waste removal, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens (including white goods), residential bedrooms and offices. This is to be done safely and to standards. Changing and making of beds within our residential properties Providing deep cleaning; using appropriate machinery to complete deeps cleans to flooring, both carpets and hard floors Operative different cleaning equipment following the correct procedure Use cleaning materials following company's health and safety and COSHH regulations You will ensure that cleaning stores remain clean, tidy and organised. You ensure a full inventory of cleaning stock and complete bi monthly stock take. You will complete deep cleans as and when required by the service, this may include full carpet cleanings, spot carpet cleans, use of a machine scrub for all hard floors.

Our ideal candidate:

Previous experience within a Commercial Cleaning role Excellent standards of quality and customer service ensuring all locations have the best standards of cleanliness Self motivated, efficient, with the ability to work alone and have a can do attitude to the tasks at hand Excellent time keeping to enable a quick and efficient cleaning service Full UK driving licence Clear understanding as to Manual Handling and health and safety to ensure safe practices
