Job Title: Cleaning Operative

Closing Date: 16th November 2025

Hours:

Part time, flexible; we are particularly looking for team members to work on Mondays and Tuesdays, usually from 7.30am, approx. 4-8 hours per shift

Pay:

12.21 per hour

Location:

Central pick up point, then various locations around York and surrounding areas with transport provided

Job Summary

We are seeking reliable, motivated and detail orientated Cleaning Operatives to join our team.

You will be responsible for cleanliness and hygiene in various environments including residential and commercial spaces, ensuring that all areas are clean, well-presented and welcoming. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

You'll provide cleaning, as per your training to a high standard, using the tools, equipment and chemicals provided. You will be provided with a uniform, relevant personal protective equipment and transport to the various locations on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

Perform all related cleaning duties in designated areas, including residential properties, offices and various commercial spaces

Communicate effectively with team members to ensure cleaning efficiency and effectiveness

Follow training provided to ensure high standards of cleaning

Use tools, equipment and chemicals as directed and ensure high levels of health and safety

Represent the company by delivering excellent cleaning and customer service

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or general cleaning is preferred but not essential

An excellent level of attention to detail

Strong customer service skills

An ability to work independently as well as part of a team

An ability to work efficiently and showcase time management skills

Physical strength and stamina

Reliability and professionalism
